Not worth it.Actually have returned this item. It wasn't good quality, the clicker was way louder than expected and kept getting stuck. When you pressed the clicker the stick would move scaring our Bunny. I suggest getting things separate.

Works For Cat TrainingUsing this stick to train a cat. The cat is responding positively to the clicker and is doing well in training. It is not too loud. The stick gets pulled out and extended for use. When you are done you can make the stick contract and put it in your pocket. It's holding up very well. We haven't had any issues. Plus, I think the colors are pretty. A great training tool.

Great for target training horsesHas done great so far in working with my horse. Although he has been a little enthusiastic and bent the pole, but I will buy this again and again. This positive reinforcement tool has taken us so far in a short time.

Awesome training toolBought it to clicker train my cat. The little green ball on the end makes it easy for him to follow & the click sound is very audible, not too loud but he can definitely hear it. Recommend using a gentle touch when you pull out the telescoping stick. It can be a little “sticky” & if you use too much pressure or pull too hard I feel it might come apart. Mine has not done that yet, but I think I could . Just use a little TLC. I’m pleased with this training tool.

DelightfulThis is the second time I have purchased this product. The first time was two years ago, and I cannot begin to describe the joy this has brought to our family. We use it just for fun, having our dogs jump high and "touch" for a click reward and a treat.
The dogs love it and come running whenever we pull it out. One of our dogs (a rescue) was wild and crazy when we first got her, full of pent-up energy. This has been a simple, delightful way to give her attention and get out some of her excess energy. She needs predictability to feel secure, and playing "touch" has become one of her favorite routines. If a dog can look happy, she certainly does.
Our two boys have done most of the training with this, and it's so rewarding and easy that they love doing it.
Our first of these target sticks eventually broke after two years of hard use (the telescoping metal broke off at one of the joints), but we easily got more than out money's worth out of it and I had no problem spending the money on a replacement.

Using it with my cats - works well, not too loud, wish it came in a small sizeThe pandemic has been a time of change for us all. My big entertainment has been figuring out if my cats are trainable. Spoiler alert: They are. This clicker was recommended as a good one for cats, it's not as loud as some, very sturdy (our cats have already tried to gnaw on it because when the clicker comes out, so do the treats, ergo the clicker must be full of treats). I love that it's extendible. Our cats actually pay more attention to the little ball at the end of the extended stick than to my hand gestures. Given the number of times I've shaken my finger at them, no wonder. Anyway, the only thing I wish is that this was smaller. It's so large it sticks out of my hand, and I'd rather the cats not focus on it as a visual, that they listen to the click and watch my other hand. Nothing I didn't know before I bought it – not a reason for docking it a star, it's user incompetence and small hands, not the clicker's fault – but Karen Pryor, if you're reading this, I'd love to buy a more compact version.
For anyone wondering: Yes, the cats are trainable. They know high five, over, up, sit, here, and circle. However, being cats, or maybe being our spoiled cats, they will only do these actions when it suits them, and when heavily fortified by treats.

Handy and does what it is supposed to.I wish it was about a foot longer but that’s not a big deal. I like that the clicker is built into the handle and is one less thing I have to manage.
My cats were already tricker trained and this is the next steps towards some other tricks, hopefully! They very quickly caught on to putting their nose to the ball, hear a click, get a treat. I can lead them around the room and they have it down perfectly.
It’s a fun way to keep them active, and create lots of content for The Gram.

The clicker button does not make any noise - you can press it down but it does not "click."The clicker does not make any noise – you can press the clicker button down but it does not "click." While this is a clever design, according to reviewers this has been an on-going defect. I should have paid attention to these reviewers…
