All Things Bunnies Small Animal Bell Balls (Set of 3)

Description

Small Chew-Resistant Bell Balls

These three plastic balls each hold a bell that rattles as they roll. Sold by All Things Bunnies, they are made with heavier plastic and smaller holes than typical cat balls, which the seller says makes them harder for small animals to chew apart.

Best Suited For

Rabbits that like to nose, toss and chase things across the floor tend to get the most from bell balls. Guinea pigs and larger hamsters may push them around too. Chinchillas and hamsters that chew everything they touch should be watched closely. Keep the balls away from dogs, since a ball this size could be a choking hazard for a bigger animal.

Play and Safety Tips

Roll a ball gently toward your rabbit at first so the sound is not a surprise. Some rabbits love the noise, while others ignore it. Check the balls every week for cracks or bite marks, and throw out any damaged ball so the bell cannot come loose. Harder to chew does not mean chew-proof, so watch heavy chewers. Rinse the balls now and then to remove hay dust and droppings.

How big are the balls?

Each is 1.5 inches in diameter.

Can I pick the colors?

No. The seller sends random colors.

Are they safe for heavy chewers?

The thicker plastic helps, but no plastic toy is chew-proof. Supervise and replace any ball that gets damaged.
